Patient Satisfaction

Patient Satisfaction

At Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County our goal is to make each patient's health care experience a positive one, regardless of the reasons for the visit. Our medical providers and nurses do more than take care of medical needs. Along with the entire health care team, they teach, comfort and explain what patients and families need to know about their care while treating you like family.

What Our Patients Think - The HCAHPS Survey

The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Survey (HCAHPS) was developed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. It is the first standardized survey to measure the patient’s experience of care and is administered across the nation in a systematic way. The results of the survey became publically reported for the first time in March of 2008. The survey asks patients to rate their experiences related to communication with hospital staff, the environment, medication, pain control and discharge, their overall rating of care and whether they would recommend Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County to their family and friends. To check out how our patients are rating Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County go to http://www.wicheckpoint.org/ and go to the reports tab.
